Edit 6/1/22 Starting with Tyler W. - he was great as a comfort care specialist. He was very thorough in explaining my options for a new furnace. It needed replacement due to a crack in the heat exchanger. The unit was very old so I knew the time was coming. I didn’t feel hurried or in a rush to make a decision. After purchasing we had next day installation from Nicky M., Dalton B., and Jake - all 3 were very respectful and took their time to ensure the job was done correctly. They explained how to use my new thermostat and how everything works with the new furnace and humidifier. They explained clearly when filters needed to be changed as well as how to do each one in particular. I am very satisfied with all aspects of dealing with the guys from Arlinghaus. I will definitely recommend their service and I look forward to working with them when I am due for any type of service. —Jeffrey Cook was a fantastic technician. He was very thorough and precise in his work. He went through everything with me as he was working. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend and would prefer to have him as my technician for any future maintenance needs. Overall the company and service has been outstanding.
I do have to say, I am extremely happy with Arlinghaus. My wife and I just had a baby and our upstairs stays in the high 70’s if not 80 degrees so we wanted to get a quote on a mini split system. I called Arlinghaus to get a quote, they scheduled it with me and were on time. Greg was the salesman and he’s one of the nicest people you can meet. He explained everything the best he could and had one of the Lead technicians come out and clear up any questions I had. I signed the paperwork and they were there the next day to install. They got it all installed in 1 day and we just had to wait on an electrician. Anytime I had a questions on updates, Greg was very responsive and would text me after hours. After the install one of the units were not working properly. I called and they had Tyler come within 2 hours. He figured out the issue (small wiring issue). He got it fixed and it cools my upstairs unbelievably. I had to turn one of the units off for a bit because it got in the 50’s (I didn’t have it on Auto) Tyler did a great job communicating with me after he figured it out. He’s top notch!! Long story short. Arlinghaus is always on time, very friendly, and always go above and beyond to make sure their customer is happy. When they ask you “How can I make your home a happy home,” they mean it. It was a little pricier than I though it would be, but you cannot buy any better service. I will be a future customer.
The representative who came to our house worked toward convincing us that we should hire Arlinghaus and him especially because he was a certified journeyman, experienced, etc. Imagine our surprise when he was not one of the people who came to install our new heating and air systems. I felt very misled. Now 5 months after our new unit is installed I noticed wetness on the floor in front of the new unit. My husband called on Saturday. We were told a tech wouldn’t be able to come until Sunday. Sunday came and went with no one showing or calling. Monday morning the office manager called my husband to say that the appointment was not communicated to the installer to come out on Sunday, so someone dropped the ball and did not do their job. He was told that someone would be at our house around 4pm. At some point after 8, the installer called and said he’d be here around 9pm. Now we find out there’s a crack in the pan that’s supposed to collect the condensation. This is not even 6 months old. I understand companies are short staffed right now. It’s just very irritating that we spent so much money to feel misled, and the lack of communication has been disappointing. The installer is ordering the part tomorrow and will call to schedule a time to come replace it. We’ll see if that actually happens. Will be surprised if it happens this week.
I called Arlinghaus after doing research on all HVAC service providers in the area. They were ultimately the ones that could get here the fastest. James Hughes was my service tech that gave me the diagnosis. My HVAC units were very old, so my expectation was that I would ultimately have to replace both units. James was very thorough in his diagnosis and explained everything in a way that I understood. I decided to get an estimate to replace my AC and Furnace. Damani Nkosi and Tom Owens came out the next day as my comfort consultants to do an analysis and provide options to replace my old units. They walked me through the entire process so I felt comfortable moving forward with the plan I thought was best. Nate Erpenbeck, Dalton Blake, and Matt Frommeyer were my installers and they did a phenomenal job. Nate showed up at the exact scheduled time and walked me through the process. Damani and Tom were also on-site throughout the day to ensure the process was smooth. At the end of it all, Nate gave me an overview of how the units work and how they should be maintained. He connected my thermostat to my internet and assisted in getting it set up to my preferred comfort level. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with how the day went. The price of the install was what I was expecting although still rather expensive. However, I am a big fan of the customer service that was provided. Here I am, about a week or so out, and Linda called me to confirm the activation of my warranty and scheduled a time for the inspector to come out to put the final stamp of approval for this process. It’s one thing to have a company mission that rests on a sign or the side of van.. it’s a completely different experience when every single person I interact with believed and exemplified that mission. Very smooth process and overall very satisfied. Arlinghaus has another lifelong customer here. Happy house, happy customer, and Shadow and Bean are also very happy.
Bryan, Nate, Tyler and the rest of the team did a great job. System I had was on it's last legs and needed to be replaced. I had 6 different estimates and while Arlinghaus wasn't the CHEAPEST, they were the best VALUE. The lower estimates either reused parts that should be replaced or didn't listen to my requirements and had 'extras'. The install team was on time, protected the house, cleaned up after themselves and walked me though the system. Pics attached are the old (Rheem) and the new (Ruud).
