I have used Greater Comfort numerous times in the past with no issues, until I signed up for the bi-annual inspection. They offer this great deal! Sign up for the maintenance package, they will come out twice a year to make sure everything is working! But….Twice now, I have made my appointments and they have been a “no show”. I have had to call to confirm my own appointments, and they’ve either not had me on the books, or “they will get there when they can”. As I waited all day, but had to leave to get my children from school. Of course, THAT was when they were available. Therefore, causing me to cancel. Such poor customer service via phone! As when they called to reschedule, it was said, “so do you want to reschedule or not??” I hate leaving bad reviews, and the service techs have done AMAZING WORK!!!! But such poor service from the call center and whom ever is in charge of the appointments!!! My time is just as valuable as the next customer. I think I will go elsewhere!
I had Greater Comfort Heating and Air out to do scheduled maintenance and was told I needed to replace the reversing valve on the unit. They informed me the cost of the repair would be about 1/3 the cost of replacing the system. They suggested that I replace the system due to the age and they sent over quotes the next day. I decided to get a second opinion and thankfully I did, nothing was wrong with the system. It has been about a year since they were here, and the system still functions great. I would never let them in my home again and would not recommend them to anyone, thankfully I got a second opinion and did not get ripped off.
Cannot thank Edgar enough for coming out on one of the hottest days of the year to fix our AC. I called and they had someone out within 2h which was great. He even stayed to make sure it was running properly and check the circuits afterwards.
We've used Greater Comfort to maintain our systems for years. They do an outstanding job, and all the technicians are very professional and know what they're doing. They've been available and very responsive, even when we've needed their services after hours. Highly recommend!
Edis and Steve are amazing. Edis came out 4 times and Steve came with him on his last visit to try and see what the issue was with our furnace. Edis did all he could to see what was wrong with our furnace and didn’t stop until he figured out what it was. Our heat was out for more than a month and we thought it was the furnace that went out. We had other companies come out before greater comfort, and all they did was try and sell us on a new furnace. Greater comfort came out to try and fix the furnace first before even considering upgrading. After all diagnostics and everything, they were able to conclude that the furnace wasn’t the issue, but that it was the meter from Duke energy that went out. Greater comfort was professional and patient through the whole process and I would definitely recommend them over anyone else. They actually try to help the customer by any means necessary and they’re not looking to make a dime off you.
