This seems like the biggest, most heavily advertised service in the area, and while I was very pleased with the people I worked with, I was not happy with the way they do business. I found it frustrating that I could not simply schedule an appointment online, that I had to talk to someone on the phone for 15-20 minutes to do what I could have typed in much faster. I can only guess that this requirement is so that they can begin the sales pitch for their multiple services and monthly maintenance plan immediately. A monthly maintenance plan that requires a year long commitment, but is more expensive if you want to pay for the year upfront. My guess is they want to get you comfortable with the monthly payments so that you never cancel them. Also, even though I provided my email over the phone, the confirmation of my appointments were hand written and sent to me in the mail. I received the confirmation and details for my appointment after my first appointment was completed. The plumber that came for my appointment was very professional and knowledgeable, and completed the work quickly and without causing me much distraction from my work day. Again, my only problem was with the company. The prices quoted seemed outrageous, for example about $400 to replace some internal hardware for a toilet. I had many items that I wanted repaired, but decided to only have one of them fixed because of the quoted prices. I then cancelled my next appointment, for an electrician, because I felt it would be a waste of time to have them come out and quote me for something that I wasn't in a hurry to fix because I just assumed the price would be unreasonable. While I have no doubt, based on their place in the market, that they have no problem finding people willing and able to pay for some of their services, my suggestion to most would be to shop around for more minor repairs and not just go for the big name on all the signs.
Chris Adkins did electric work for us this morning. He was on-time, polite and extremely knowledgeable. He gave me a synopsis of the checks he would do and was responsive to questions I had. I was very impressed with his knowledge and experience in diagnosing our various concerns. All work was done efficiently and multiple work areas were left in perfect shape. I am planning some future lighting enhancement that he patiently listened to and educated me on some creative approaches. When I'm ready to move on this in coming months, I will definitely be requesting that he be assigned to come back and do that work.
Robert Finch conducted by furnace PM on 12/23. He has been servicing my house for 5 years now to include a new install in March of 2018. I request Robert every chance I get. He is an experienced tech with much knowledge. He offers practical solutions and doesn't try to offer me anything that I do not need. In addition, he is very clean throughout the job and he is very pleasant to talk to. I highly recommend Robert Finch with HELP Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, and Drains.
Seth was absolutely AMAZING. He explained everything he was doing in detail. Was so polite and had some of the best customer service skills that I've seen in a long time. He's very personable and even took me on a walk thru of each and everything he did. He went over several different options as far as what needed to be done and payments for such. He triple checked his work, went over payment thoroughly and gave me his card before he left. We will definitely be using him again as we signed up for the club membership!!!! Thanks so much for a wonderful experience!!!!
Matt was very professional and knowledgeable. Matt serviced the unit and showed me what was done and why. He also made some recommendations and the cost but there was no pressure to purchase anything. The job was done in a timely manner and everything was cleaned up and working before he left. Based on my experience with Matt and Help I will recommend and use this company again. Great job
