Jeff and his team were fantastic to work with-they did a full remodel of our first floor in an old (1900) house. They removed a load bearing wall, installed a steam beam and did all the finishes. They were also great at trouble shooting and problem solving. They made great recommendations to enhance the architect design including how we could add skylights, remove plaster to add insulation and create deep window sills. We couldn’t be happier with the space! We have recommended him to friends and are looking forward to using them again in the future.
Decent initial project work but poor follow up and communication. Ruined a part of our wood floor stain when they pulled up the cardboard that was protecting our floors, which they tried to fix but that failed. Then said they would restain the entire first floor. In addition their painters tested paint on our walls and then left the paint test patches on. After multiple calls and multiple months they will not return our calls or work with us to compensate us for the damage caused. Disappointed and now we are left with thousands of dollars of work we need to do that was caused by them.
We used HBR to handle the majority of our kitchen and living room renovations. They removed two load bearing walls, added beams, and relocated our kitchen hookups to the other side of floor. Jack was able to come over the day after reaching out to take measurements and go over any questions and concerns we had. Jeff had his crew over within a month to start work. HBR was able to accommodate our changes throughout the process to best of their ability or recommend alternate solutions. I would highly recommend HBR for home renovations.
Jeff and the team from Hinsford built an amazing porch onto our family home in Newport. We've renovated several houses in this area and our experience with Hinsford was unparalleled. The cost and timing were right, the quality of the work was exemplary, and the guys who did it were courteous and professional. I can't say enough about the effort that the guys put in; shout out to Big Eric, Moises, Mike and Little Eric (who's about the same size as Big Eric, but that's beside the point). Going forward Hinsford will be my first call for any and all upgrades/maintenance to this house and our rental properties. Contractors like this are few and far between.
As an architect, I am selective with work done at my home and highly recommend Hinsford Building & Remodeling. Jeff and his crew have performed multiple projects at my house and we have worked together on many other residential and commercial projects. They are attentive to detail and strive for client satisfaction throughout the construction process.
