Austin was very nice. We went over repair verses replacement of my toilet and I decided on replacement. He was on time, early in fact, and had everything installed, and cleaned, including a new shut off valve in just a couple hours. (Much less than I thought it would take. )
John took the time to explain how I could resolve my issue with a quick trip to the store and advised how to maintain my drains proactively quarterly. He was knowledgeable and didn't charge me for needless services! I appreciate his honesty and positive demeanor 😀.
Plumb Tite must have sent me their finest representative. At age 82 & house-owner for 58 yrs I have never met a more knowledgeable , more congenial people person . I can now say I have met the Best! Thank you… His name is AUSTIN
Update: Management called me to discuss our recent furnace repair service call and let me know what happened. Once our service was updated in their system, the cost was very reasonable. These days I'm always impressed when a business reaches out to me to make things right. We will call Plumb-Tite again if we have need of another repair. The first time we called Plumb-Tite was for an air conditioning repair that was made the same day we called. The repair was able to be done quickly and for their $150 charge to come out. Five star review due to the ability to schedule a technician same day and for the reasonable charge. We decided we would call again in the future. The second time we called Plumb-Tite for a furnace repair, they were able to come out the next day, which is good and reasonable with me. After running a few tests, it turned out our thermostat wasn't working properly. With the initial $150 charge to come out, I would expect maybe another $100 approximately to be added for a thermostat install. The additional charge was $250. $400 total for a thermostat install that's already wired is an unreasonable price in my view.
For 1" black steel sch40 piping reconnection from gas meter (relocated to other side of wall) to existing piping location, with no more than 5 feet piping distance and 5 fittings, plumber Eric is asking for $2,300. I immediately wonder how he can quote that such mountain high price for small rock kicking job. After the negotiation and questioning, then the final quote come down to $1,833 for one day job. There is no couple hundreds $ job any more. I under people have to make living by doing their job, but not by breaking other people's income.
