Our home was only 20 years old but we suspected we needed a new roof. We obtained 3 competitive bids and while Ray St. Clair was the most expensive, we felt very comfortable with their workmanship. The new roof was installed in 10 days while the gutter work required more time. There were a few issues that we had to work through but the installation department was diligent and professional and we are very happy and our neighbors were curious since all of our homes were built in 2004.
Not the highest bid/not the lowest. I had had some experience with Ray St. Clair many years ago. Our damage was from a storm & the insurer agreed to a roof replacement. Outstanding work. Our house has an odd roof - an L-shaped A-frame with a VERY steep pitch. The team arrived and had the old roof off quickly. They worked over the course of 2 days getting the new roof on. Follow up from the "office" was quick - one small issue was taken care of quickly. Later, we decided to take off a chimney & they were back out to remove it & reshingle the area. Almost a year later we had one shingle come down & they were out within a day or so to fix it. Overall a Top Notch 5-star experience all around.
I called 3 roofing companies for estimates on a roof replacement on 1/15/24. Ray St Clair Roofing made an appointment next day at noon. The estimator was exactly on time, performed a thorough inspection. He wrote detailed estimates for 3 price points: new shingles only; tear-off & good quality shingles; or with premium quality shingles; and confirmed all materials were in stock for potential work the following week. He did this while I waited and answered my questions during that visit. I waited until Thursday 1/25/24 to accept because the other contractors took up to a week to submit the estimates with fewer choices and details on materials provided. Ray St Clair delivered materials Tuesday 1/30 and the job was completed in 1 day, on 1/31/2024. The workers were prompt, efficient, and left the area around the house cleaner than they had found it. I have received documentation on the materials and warranties. I have waited a full month, and a few rain events, to review the work. Everything looks great and I have seen no issues with the new roof. I am completely satisfied and can recommend this company to other homeowners.
Called for an estimate the guy came out looked around and told me he would get the quote back to me that evening or tomorrow. I waited a few days and heard nothing back. I called their office twice and talked to a lady named Angie she told me she would reach out to the guy who was supposed to do my quote and never heard anything back. I’m not sure if it was because of the box gutters so if you do have box gutters you might want to reconsider and go with a different company.
On April 19,2024 i had Ray St. Clair Roofing replaced my roof and the reason i chose them is they replaced my roof back in 1998. They did a excellent job then and also the roof they just replaced. The crew arrived as scheduled and started work immediately. The crew worked great together and the roof was replaced without any problems and clean up was great, as no roofing material was on the grounds. If your thinking of having a roof replacement I highly recommend Ray St. Clair Roofing.
