Steve’s Heating and Air Conditioning is the company we call when we need our system serviced or repaired. They are quick to respond and are honest and fair. We are familiar with technicians Jeff and Tyler. We trust them completely. Our furnace and air conditioner are 22 years old yet they have never recommended a new furnace. They service the system and occasionally replace a part at a reasonable cost. This company’s integrity is rare in today’s world.

I will let the pictures do the talking. Before choosing Steve’s ask the other HVAC companies you are considering if they have ever placed a condenser directly in front of an exhaust. Also ask them if they use caps instead of reducers. It’s cheap, lazy work and they definitely don’t have the best interest of you and your families HVAC in mind. There are too many other companies who do. Leaving you with no reason to ever choose Steve’s. You don’t have to take my word for it. Show the pictures to the other companies you are considering and make your decision based off their response.

I've had Steve's to our house a couple of times for repairs over the past couple of years and finally had to get a new furnace (it made it 22 years!). They were fantastic through the entire process. There was no pressure sales, only honest assessments of what would be best along with clear explanations of the benefits (or not) and next steps. The two gentlemen that installed our system were fantastic. They arrived on time, were incredibly courteous and it was obvious they take pride in the work they do. Happy to have a new furnace, happy we went with Steve's

We had 3 different companies give us opinions about why the 2nd floor of our house wasn't cooling. We had companies try to sell us mini-splits, solutions involving working inside the walls, and other options that would've cost us thousands and thousands of dollars. Steve's HVAC solved our problem with an air balance, curtains, and other tips, saving us thousands of dollars. They also tested our furnace to show that another company's claim that we had a cracked heat exchanger was not actually true, and we would've wasted thousands of dollars there too

I am not typically one to write reviews at all, especially not a negative review but we had such a horrible experience with this company that I wanted to warn other unsuspecting customers. We called Steve's when our air went out on 6/27/23. The first day the technician came out he said he was unable to check the system because it was frozen and would need to come back the next day. He warned me that he suspected our system had a leak and that if it did both the coil and the refrigerant to charge it were very pricey. He returned the next day, ran a test on the system and found a large leak on inner coil. The technician told me he suspected the price of the coil to be around $3000, but he would recommend the replacement of the entire unit based on age and condition. Because our unit was covered under our home owners insurance policy and we were at the mercy of waiting for their inspector before we could move forward with any decisions on repair/replacement, he offered to recharge the system for us to buy us a bit of time while we waited for the company our insurance inspector sent out. The tech recharged our system that day and we paid over $500 for the recharge and service fee. Before the tech pulled out of our driveway he told me someone from the office would contact me with the official quote for the part, as well as for the replacement. The next day someone from Steve's contacted me with a quote for the coil and wanted to charge $6,056 to replace the coil. I asked what the cost was for the entire replacement if the coil was that much and was told that they'd have to send someone back out to measure our system before they could quote that, and they'd be unable to send anyone out for about a week due to 4th of July. I'm unsure why measurements weren't taken by the technician who suggested the replacement during either of his first two visits to our home.
At this point I was feeling as though we weren't getting good information so we sought a second opinion from a smaller company that was also recommended to us. The smaller company quoted us $1885 for the same exact coil plus labor. I understand price differences between one company to another, but a price difference of nearly $4,200 seems as if I was being excessively over quoted by the first company (Steve's)
Fast forward a few days and our air goes back out. The insurance company gave us the go ahead to replace the entire unit, so I called the smaller company to have them put the order in. He offered to come out and recharge the system to hold us off until the unit came in and he could get it installed. He comes to our home prepared to charge the system and finds that our compressor is now fried. He asked me what color tank the previous company had used to charge our system when they were out. It turns out that Steve's didn't use the correct charging agent when recharging our system which created a thick oil when mixed with the other freon in our machine and bogged our compressor down. Not only did this ruin our compressor, but is also an EPA violation. My husband contacted Steve's to see which color tank they used and they attempted to convince him that the R22 refrigerant can come in any color tank. A quick google search can debunk that statement in the matter of seconds, as well as an honest HVAC technician.
All in all we are very disappointed in our experience with Steve's. Not only did it cost us hundreds of dollars on a temporary bandaid, but it ultimately cost us to go over a week with no AC in our home on one of the hottest weeks in the summer. We were very fortunate that our insurance company approved the replacement of the unit or Steve's would've cost us an over $5000 repair, even with the cheaper company. I couldn't imagine the cost with his company. Steve's should change his name to Thieves.
